Permaflex is best applied upon light rusty surfaces after heavy rust scale has been removed by pressure washing with fresh water and allowed to dry.

NOTE: For all permanent marine installations,  it is critical that all cement based "scrim coatings", old paints, sealers, waterproofing agents etc, must be removed to allow SANI-TRED products to penetrate and bond to the original wood, fiberglass, or steel surfaces.
